Dent Ministry Evolution Chronograph limited edition watch

Everything in the Dent portfolio is produced in small series editions and the portfolio itself is also limited to just three collections.  cheap hublotwatches Of these, the Ministry finds the middle ground, being less elegantly styled than the Denison and less “Big Ben” than the Parliament.  There is a touch of sportiness in the rounded 43mm case giving it a modern appearance, yet there is an air of authority in those elongated Roman numerals and despite the counters, a certain traditional clockmaking openness to its face.Whether you work, rest or play in London you will see evidence of Edward Dent’s existence.  In their History lessons your children will be taught about noteworthy events, people and places which will in some way or another involve a Dent timepiece.  2012 promises to be a hoopla year for London, and since 1814 this is the brand which timed it/architected it/invented it.Inside the Dent Ministry Evolution Chronograph is the automatic Dent Calibre 201 with 42 hours of power reserve and the edition will be limited to 250 pieces worldwide.Open the home page of the Dent website and you will be bombarded with facts, names and dates.  This is a company which in stating that their watches have “Two hundred years of British history packed into every single one” are in fact downplaying the whole kit, caboodle and shebang.

Longines Master Collection Retrograde Moon Phases watch

On the right is the calendar, on the left is a 24 hour second time zone with the small seconds retrograde down at the bottom.  This abundant array of displays are presented on a barleycorn guillochéd dial which looks particularly sharp in the black dial option.Longines present a new piece, the Longines Master Collection Retrograde Moon Phases.  If you enjoy a bit of dial action this one has it all – six hands, four of which are slender retrogrades fluttering like flirty blue eyelashes, to these add two apertures for the moonphase and day/night indicators and you have one of the busiest dials unveiled at BaselWorld 2011.
On the right is the calendar, on the left is a 24 hour second time zone with the small seconds retrograde down at the bottom.  This abundant array of displays are presented on a barleycorn guillochéd dial which looks particularly sharp in the black dial option.
The piece uses a new movement the automatic L701.2 Calibre with 46 hours of power reserve, which for the first time adds a day/night indicator – you’ll find it tucked in beneath the retrograde day of the week display at the top.

Longines Single Push-Piece Chronograph 180th Anniversary Limited Edition watch

The balanced counters are overlayed on the dial so they nibble into the swirly numerals, there are blued steel hands and a quirky but quintessential red “12″, fundamental features back in the day.

The 40mm round case is polished to a mirror finish and looped “bracelet” lugs attach it to leather in style.

It pays tribute to the brand’s first wrist chronograph developed in 1913, so naturally you would expect it to be vintage in style – and it is.  The information is neatly displayed and still allows for some empty dial space.

Inside the automatic L788.2 Calibre has a 54 hour power reserve and for chronograph connoisseurs, the magic words “Column-Wheel”, or in other words, an integrated chronograph, not a bolted on module.

As a further bonus, this is a monopusher operated timer, hence the little protrusion on the crown and the absence of case-clutter.The last Longines piece which we featured was alive with activity and featured a considerable array of indications.

The Longines Column-Wheel Single Push-Piece Chronograph 180th Anniversary watch is a polar opposite in almost every sense.

Ashton Kutcher is Not Dating Mila Kunis, Demi Moore is Still 'Mrs. Kutcher'

Meanwhile, the soon-to-be ex-Mrs. Kutcher, Demi Moore, has gotten back on Twitter after a 3-month break. She quit the site while in rehab in Sundance, Utah and came back by posting an odd picture of herself wearing plastic glasses while laying on a bed. "Testing," she wrote as the caption. It's been a while since we've heard much from the Kutcher camp, but that doesn't mean the rumors haven't been flying about the actor. The latest? He's dating former That '70s Show co-star Mila Kunis.

Well, turns out that's not exactly the case. The two had dinner over the weekend and were reportedly furniture shopping in the actor's new hood, but sources swear up and down that these two are simply operating on a friends level. The insider also explained that "three other people" were out with the alleged couple that night.

How Long Until Brangelina Actually Gets Married

But seeing as they haven't set a date, we can't help but wonder how long it will take before they actually get hitched. First, last week's poll: Asked to name the summer blockbuster you're most looking forward to, the majority of you went with Kristen Stewart's Snow White and the Huntsman. You do realize Robert Pattinson isn't attached to the project, right?
But back to Brangelina. Seven years after these two first started playing rough on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Pitt and Jolie are now officially engaged. The actor's manager, Cynthia Pett-Dante, had this to say about the news: "It is a promise for the future, and their kids are very happy. There's no date set at this time." In other words, we have no idea when or where they'll actually walk the aisle. To the absolute delight of former hobo Hills star Spencer Pratt, Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have finally gotten engaged.

Rihanna’s Topless Skinny Dipping Pics

The “Rude Boy” star flung off her bikini top and went skinny dipping under a waterfall in a series of pics she posted on Facebook on April 17. She’s definitely proud of her curves, and obviously wants Chris Brown, 22, to know what he’s missing — but will her tantalizing photos win him back, or do they just make her look desperate for attention?Rihanna will stop at nothing to make Chris want her! Do you think her sexy skinny dipping pic will win him over?
Rihanna, 24, is turning up the heat in her mission to get her ex back with this REALLY racy shot from her Hawaiian vacation in January.

Rob was noticeably absent from the star-studded party Kristen attended on April 13

“One was he didn’t want to make it the Kristen and Rob show and take away from the actual event,” our source says. “And they also have a clause in their Twilight contracts that they can only appear together at a Twilight themed red carpet together. Twilight kind of owns some of their appearances they do together until Breaking Dawn is 100% completed.”
It was weird to see Kristen Stewart, 22, hit the red carpet solo for the world premiere of Paul McCartney‘s new music video, “My Valentine,” and we couldn’t help but wonder why her boyfriend Rob was MIA.
It’s too bad work is keeping the couple from going out together, but we totally understand! And it’s great that they respect Paul McCartney enough to keep from stealing his glory at the huge premiere.

Robert Pattinson, 25, skipped the party for two reasons, an insider tells HollywoodLife.com — and neither of them hint at trouble in their relationship. Phew!

Road Date Night With Robert Pattinson...and Her Mom

It looks like we won't have to wait until Breaking Dawn Part 2 hits theaters in November to see R.Pattz and K.Stew hit a carpet together…because sources tell us that Rob will be attending the On the Road screening with Kristen.Road Date Night With Robert Pattinson...and Her Mom!Looks like Cannes will be a time to make love, not war. We previously prepared you for the film festival battle royale that could go down between our favorite Twilight twosome, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, seeing as both K.Stew's On the Road and R.Pattz's Cosmpolis are set to compete. But now we hear that it's all about support in the south of France—and not just from Kristen's Bf: First, let's talk Mr. Pattinson.

Vincent Gallo Is Suing Los Angeles

which is intended to beautify L.A.'s downtown arts neighborhood; Gallo claims that the program has been a failure, and he'd like his tax dollars back,Vincent Gallo isn't afraid to throw shade someone's way:TMZ reports that Gallo has filed suit against the city to shut down a program called the Arts District Business Improvement District (it feels like there's a superfluous "district" in there, no?), The actor-director-gadabout has beefed with nearly everyone in Hollywood, including actors and directors (like Christina Ricci and Francis Ford Coppola) he's actually made films with. Still, if it seems like it's been a while since there's been news of a new Vincent Gallo feud, perhaps that's because he was harnessing his energy to take on the biggest target of his career: the city of Los Angeles.

Hublot Big Bang series Hublot King Power Alinghi watch

With the signature pieces from both watchmakers being so competitively poised in adversity, one imagines that when the opportunity came around for JC Biver’s Hublot brand to pick up the torch left behind by Audemars Piguet, that he moved in fairly quickly (as is his way). Indeed the deal was agreed in outline within 24 hours of Biver and Bertarelli discussing the potential at the unveiling of the Alinghi 5 catamaran last year.

At a cocktail reception hosted by the charismatic Jean-Claude Biver on the shores of Lake Geneva over the weekend, the all-new relationship between his Hublot brand and the Alinghi Americas Cup team became official by the unveiling of the Hublot King Power Alinghi Limited Edition, itself based on the hugely successful Hublot Big Bang series. The Hublot King Power Alinghi Limited Edition
Present at the launch, and recipient of piece number 1, was Ernesto Bertarelli, President of the successful Alinghi team  who later this year will defend the Americas Cup for Switzerland against US challengers Team BMW Oracle Racing in the 33rd running of the famous yacht race.
While it is always interesting to see the launch of new a piece, whether it is to one’s taste or otherwise, this occasion was significant in that it represented the beginning of a new era for both Team Alinghi and the Hublot brand, for previously the Alinghi name was closely associated with Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak Offshore editions, a relationship which expired along with it’s contracts mid 2009.

Hands New Helson Buccaneer 47mm watch

Helson has been kind enough to let us keep the Buccaneer 47 for a couple of weeks to give it the full review treatment, but even after just a few short hours we can share that this new Buccaneer is very large but wears nicely given its relatively short lug to lug size and titanium case.

Also, the Buccaneer 47′s domed crystal looks amazing thanks to how its curve perfectly aligns with the angle of the case and bezel. The Buccaneer 47′s shape is almost futuristic and we really like it.

The traditional “compressor” layout will be familiar, with the top (two o’clock) non-screw down crown operating the bi-directional bezel and the lower (four o’clock) screw down crown in place for time and date control. Both of the crowns, the bracelet clasp and the case back are adorned with Helson’s skull and crossbones logo, which has seen use in some of their past models.

Following in the footsteps of the  Shark Diver Titanium, Helson the Buccaneer as a low-quantity model with only 30 being made in the first batch and they will sell for $1099 each once available later this week.

Basel 2012 Preview watches

The Oktopus II Double Date comes in three versions, each of which will be limited to 88 pieces and span options which mix conventional titanium and ceramic, DLC titanium and ceramic, and titanium and with rose gold.

Earlier this week, Linde Werdelin announced a new and limited edition piece as a novelty for Basel World 2012.

This new model, called the Oktopus II Double Date, is an expansion of the current Oktopus range which predictably integrates a grande date (or “big calendar”) complication into the layered and laser-cut dial design we expect from LW.

Much like Linde Werdelin’s other dive watches, the Oktopus II Double Date can be used as a platform for their Reef dive computer and this functionality explains the lack of a dive bezel on the Double Date as the Reef add-on can track this sort of data.

As frequent desk-divers, we think a dive watch should always have a countdown bezel as their usefulness extends well beyond the borders of the underwater world.

The Oktopus II’s five piece case measures 44 x 15.25 mm with a lug to lug of 46mm so it is large but not without purpose and the short lug to lug should make for a comfortable shape for almost any wrist.

The Double Date boasts 300m water resistance, a sapphire crystal and the calibre 14580 movement which was made in a partnership between Linde Werdelin and Dubois Depraz. This movement supports its Double Date feature, seen at 12 o’clock, which is managed by two laser-cut discs and viewable via an opening in the dial.
